Phishing Predation: Illinois Man Sentenced for Multi-State Snapchat Nude Photo Scheme

Illinois resident Kyle Svara, 27, was sentenced after targeting nearly 600 women in a nationwide Snapchat phishing scheme. Impersonating company support representatives, Svara tricked victims into handing over login verification codes. He breached at least 59 accounts to steal, sell, and trade explicit photographs online, and was even hired by a former college track coach to hack student-athletes.
